2006: Gabriel Byrne And More Stories

Crookstown Hall, aka The Little Theatre, closes. (Somewhere in the middle of this period the church is being renovated and the hall is in use for Sunday mass; the altar and other candelabra has to be moved for workshops).

Following our final production, we trek on foot from Crookstown Hall to Ballitore with costumes and props crammed into Dracula's coffin, a distance of 2.1km.

We interview Gabriel Byrne as we are expanding more into the world of film.

We hold a Film Festival, including the short film Where Did You Come From based on the short story Memory written by Jim Burke. 27th Cork Youth International Film/Art Festival Short listed the film in their Intermediate section. It is the first independent film made by GYT.

We take part in a Street Theatre event to promote non-violence, organised by The Quakers Society of Friends on September 21st for World Day of Peace. The photo ends up in a UK school textbook – GYT get £50 sterling for it!
